Promo for New ABC Series "V"

I loved watching "V" back in the 80's and I can't wait for it to begin again in November.

This is the last year for my favorite show LOST...so I'm hoping this will be a nice replacement.

Both of these shows are loaded with theological implications.  LOST is an exploration in free will vs. predestination and "V" will unpack the issue of (blind) devotion.

Check out the promo below.

Ben 10 vs. Superfriends

When I was a Saturday morning cartoon addict back in the 80's, Superfriends was "my show."  Now my son is the addict and "his show" is Ben 10 Alien Force.

It is interesting how the idea of hero for me was rooted in a team, each with individual strengths/powers.  My son's idea of hero, Ben 10, is the team  himself.  He changes into a variety of creatures depending on the villain he faces.

More Bear ~ Interview with Conan

Here is a little more of Bear Grylls from Man vs. Wild.  Hilarious interview on Conan Obrien.

Man vs. Wild ~ Check it out!

I love this show!  The premise sounds crazy and Bear Grylls does a lot of things that are insane (watch the clip).

However, after you read a little about the guy...and watch a couple of episodes of Man vs. Wild...he seems kind of normal.  Normal like Batman is normal.

Osteen on the Island?

Jin

Osteen

I was a little distracted while watching LOST last night.  Now that Jin has longer hair, he reminds me of Joel Osteen.  ESPECIALLY when he smiles.

Another similarity- I can't understand what either of them says.

Come on...am I the only one??

This show was awesome, but I might be the only kid who saw it?  Do any of the rest of you remember it?  Greg Evigan, who starred alongside the chimp, did some of the vocals in the theme song.  He went on to star in another blockbuster sitcom titled "My Two Dads"...do you remember that one??

Seriously, I wanted to drive a semi so bad that I locked myself in my bedroom and demanded that a big rig be brought to me.  I might have also demanded a chimp...I can't recall.

Please post a comment if you at least saw the show once...or heard about it...or watched a clip someone posted on their blog...
